Is there an offline third party app that will just track steps, without an Internet connection? My friends and I would love to do a camping challenge, but there isn't going to be Internet in the forest. Yes I know we can sync things when we get back to town, but what fun is that? Nobody knows who's winning or losing all weekend, that sucks. Any ideas?

Well I see they labeled the Idea for offline syncing with the phone as not planned. Well they (Fitbit) can leave it that way. I just found a fitness tracker that syncs with the phone offline. So, you took too long and didn't care enough about your users to add this feature. So, I now have a new tracker and my camping buddies will have theirs soon.

Welcome to the Forums @Rastinmajera. Regarding to your question, no, there isn't an app that works without internet connection. I think it would be great to have a feature like this, please take a look at the Sync to phone app without need for internet connection request, vote for it and leave your comment.
Catch you later.

This has been a problem since Fitbit came into being. It is something that those of us that don't live in big cities need. It is something that those of us that our outdoors need. I would think that Fitbit would like to be the first, I wouldn't think it would take a company like Garmin (that has a lot of products, that are used by hunters, campers and out-doormen) is going to take very long not to have this feature. Come on FitBit be first...... Just think of the customers and that stock price rising again.....

If you look in your phones app/play store and search for the term "Pedometer", I'm sure tat you will find several. Yes these will not transfer any step over to your Fitbit account, and you will need to show the screen ls to each other. Some don't save yesterdays step count, while others might save a week.
Why not just compare the steps from the face of your trackers?
BTW it is hard to give suggestions without knowing if you phone is Android, Ios or Windows.

Just do this! You could just sit around campfire every night at 9pm, pull out your wrists, and compare who has the most steps and declare a winner. No internet required!

That request was put in over two years ago. I don't think we are going to get that one any time soon.

Sorry @Rastinmajera, all third party sites connect to your fitbit account after you have synced your tracker. The tracker is only able to sync to your Fitbit account, the fitbit app is aimply used as a doorway to send the data through durring a sync.
As,for top requests, i see this has made the first page, with popularity it is not close. Lets put a lync in our signatures and advertise.
