I’ve been wearing a Fitbit for 4 years, and this specific watch (Versa 4) for 11 months.
From Jan-Aug this year my average AZM (by month) has been in the range 23 - 52per day. However in the past two months they have been 93 and 97. My resting heart rate has stayed pretty constant at 55 - 60bpm.
Does anyone know why this sudden increase would be? My activity levels haven’t increased - if anything they have decreased as i’ve gone from a 40hr working week constantly on my feet all summer (hospitality job) plus walks and gym, to studying from home and only working 16hrs, with an hour or so walk a day. I am wondering if there could be a medical cause for this that requires speaking to a doctor, or if it is nothing to worry about?

I have a similar question, albeit my numbers are different. I’ve been wearing Fitbit for about 4 years too, with the Versa 2 for the majority and then recently upgraded to a Sense 2. I’m 75 yrs old with a normal RHR of 40 to 43…you read correctly…I’ve gone to a cardiologist several times for stress testing and they always say not to worry that it’s a good sign from working out, the heart isn’t having to work so hard. Anyway, my wife and I walk 3 miles every morning and I go to the gym a few days a week. Previously, I would average about 95 to 120 AZM per day with the walk alone and daily activity. However, recently it seems the AZM is increasing much more through the day such that I hit 200 or even 300 AZM. So, just wondering I the calculation has changed? Or if it’s a result of higher heart activity during the day? Or a lower RHR?
