Band not strong enough

I just lost my second Fitbit in the water. First one 3 months ago was a Sense 2 lost jumping in the water.  The second one a Versa came off in small waves when falling off a Stand Up paddle board.  Seems the bands are not strong enough for someone to jump in the water.  All were original bands fitted correctly.  I want to wear my device when exercising in the water. Am I just unlucky or should I move to different wearable?

Welcome to the Fitbit community, @Philmac123!

For heavy duty use I always recommend the Spigen Rugged Armor Pro Band for Versa 3 or Versa 4:

Please make sure to spend some time cleaning your device after having used it for exercises in water. See 'What should I do if my Fitbit device gets wet?' following this link for more on that:

Can I swim or shower with my Fitbit device?
