Just a nervous of swimming with the watch and wondered how others have got on with it.
Says water resistant to 50m, so should be ok?
It will be breast stroke for around an hour

Welcome to the Fitbit community, @DreamerAmy!
Yes, you can swim with your new Versa 4. And yes, even better, it is meant to be worn while swimming:
How do I track swims with my Fitbit device?
As long as you're keeping some points in mind, you can enjoy your new device in wet conditions:
Can I swim or shower with my Fitbit device?

Thank you. I have a woven band on at present and a screen protector.
Would you recommend changing back to the original band and also removing the screen cover for swimming so the device is back to standard?

You're welcome, thanks for your fast reply, @DreamerAmy!
I'd indeed suggest changing to the Infinity Band for any swimming activities as it is better to get dry. There's no need to remove the screen cover, however.
Have fun with your Versa 4!

@DreamerAmy Regardless the specification there are many reports that Fitbit devices failed after a swim, my humble opinion is it would be a risk (I never had a problem like this with any Fitbit, I own(ed) more than 10 devices, but I never swim.
Also, is there any reason why you would like to swim with your Versa 4 apart telling the time? Versa 4 during a swim works only as a stopwatch.

Yes, I am using my fitbit to monitor my exercise and helping me with a calorie controlled diet.
Wearing the watch during my swim will monitor my heart rate during the exercise and therefore giving me an idea of calories burnt during the swim

As @Dopovo has mentioned, you could find a few cases where devices were faulty after having used them while swimming. But we have to keep in mind that boards like this one have to be considered hospitals. None of those thousands and thousands new Fibit users every year would come here to report that she/he has a Fitbit device that is working after having been in contact with water. And noone knows how those devices which had lost their water resistance had been treated before.
Take care not to bump your device against anything and don't press it's side button when it is wet.
And in case something will go wrong though, your device covered by Fitbit's warranty.
So, enjoy your Versa 4 for your swimming exercises, @DreamerAmy!

@DreamerAmy all Fitbit devices turn HR tracking off during swimming. Calories are just a guess.
