Can I use the AFib detection feature under 22?

I am just a few months away from turning 22, and I've actually been experiencing some heart rate related issues where my doctor has asked me to monitor my heart rate through the day. So when I saw the AFib feature, I was disappointed that I wasn't yet 22 technically. Does anyone know if there is any major reason why I can't/shouldn't enable that feature as I'm closely monitoring my heart rate as of lately, even though I'm just a few months shy of turning 22? Thank you!

Hello @Scarlett21 and welcome to the Community.  There isn't a "major" why you can't use it.  It has to do with the FDA.  This will sound weird by today's age range perceptions.  When the FDA was created, the age range for children was set as birth through 21.  The adult range starts at 22.  This feature was never tested in anyone under 22.  I honestly don't see a problem with you using it.  Please keep in mind that this feature only looks for heart rate patterns that look like AFib.  It can't look for anything else.

I participated in the Fitbit Heart Study that developed this feature.  Over 450,000 people participated.  In order to include people younger than 22, Fitbit would have to perform a completely separate study, with a very large group of people 21 and younger.
