It's my understanding that all American express consumer credit cards are supported. Verified through fitbit and amex websites and previously chatted with fitbit support which said it should work. When I try to add my card I get, "This card can't be setup for tap to pay. Your bank doesn't support tap to pay with your watch on your card."
I factory reset my watch multiple times, reinstalled the fitbit app multiple times, set up new Google wallet pin multiple times. I am able to add the same card to other digital wallets (google pay and samsung pay). Any ideas what could be the issue or how to fix it?

Google Wallet and Fitbit Google Wallet seem to be two different things. Because your card is supported by mobile Google Wallet doesn't guarantee it will be on the Fitbit watch. There are plenty of users in the same boat (including me).

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I've seen various posts about google wallet having issues but seeing as how fitbit support told me that the card should work on my watch, not sure if I missed something. What adds to my frustration is that we have this fake google wallet which appears to still be fitbit pay (according to other users receiving "welcome to fitbit pay" emails after they add a card), but even if it is fitbit pay, my card should still be supported by fitbit pay as well, again according to fitbit and amex websites and fitbit support. So fitbit pay or google wallet or "fitbit google wallet"...whatever it is, it's just another broken feature of this disappointing device. Like most other people, this did not turn out to be an upgrade from the versa 2 unfortunately.
