Constant notifications in specific conditions - GPS and Charging Issues?

Hi ... I recently went from my beloved Versa 2 to a Versa 4 and I have two specific activities where I get a near constant vibration notification:

1. When recharging and it gets to a certain percentage ... it just starts to buzz and flash the current charge percentage on the screen ... about every 5 seconds. (It also doesn't seem to charge beyond that 95%)

2. When hiking or waking it sometimes vibrates like there is a notification ... but there isn't one ... I think it is something to do with mapping or maybe GPS connection to my phone (pixel 6)... because the GPS arrow in the top left of the screen will flash when it vibrates and the resulting post-walk map will be a bit squiggly and inaccurate.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

@Apcymru   I think you should contact Support about your buzzing/charging issue.  Your Versa 4 should not be doing that.

I can explain your hiking/walking issue.  Your Versa 2 had a feature that will turn on the Exercise app on the device for one shortcut -- the Run shortcut.  The Versa 4, and all current models, will do this for six shortcuts: walk, run, hike, elliptical, rowing, and spinning.  I can help you turn them off.

  • Short press the button and tap on the Exercise app
  • The Versa 4 has all the shortcuts on the device, so scroll until you find Waks
  • Swipe up on the tiny "^" at the bottom of the screen
  • Look for Auto-start and toggle it off
  • Repeat for the Hike shortcut

I wear a Sense 2 and it has the same navigation as your Versa 4.  I disabled the Auto-start in all six shortcuts.
