Enter calorie goal not deficit goal

Hi, I'm trying hard to set and stick to a daily calorie goal including maintenance days. Fitbit seems to let me choose a daily deficit and it will send me weekly daily average burned calories in my Fitbit report. I only find this semi helpful. First, I want to set a daily calorie intake goal and get some sort of animation or notification when I met that so I don't go over it. Second, the report says what I burned on average but how about what I consumed against that burn average? Fitbit could do a MUCH better job helping us transparently understand our weight loss goals in these ways. I have done a Food Plan. These aspects are missing.
