I have been extremely frustrated with my Versa 4 that I received for christmas.

My other Fitbit would detect automatically.

I will set my exercise mode to various modes, I have tried multiple to test this out.  It consistently always says I am below the heart rate zone for that exercise while meanwhile I am workout hard. How can this be fixed?

I have the same problem and its really ruining the whole Versa 4 experience. During workouts (and potentially other times) the heart rate monitor just isn't working. Similar to your experience I can be working hard and getting hot and sweaty and the heart rate says 70 to 85 or the screen just goes to --. This is clearly wrong and over 30+ minutes it doesn't register a single in zone minute. Sometimes it suddenly starts working and the heart rate graph will show that my heart rate jumped from consistent 70 to 80 up to 120 to 140. I amounting the latest firmware and Ave followed all of the tips etc for cvurate heart rate monitoring....nothing helps. I am currently tracking the Versa 4 outputs against those of my old Charge 2 and currently the Charge 2 seems far more accurate (checked against manual HR count). I assume thatmy Versa 4 is faulty but I have seen several reports on here of this issue so maybe it just never works. I plan to share my results with the help desk and see what response there is.
