Since a recent update, my running is not logging correctly. It for some reason always used to track my runs as elliptical, but whilst that was annoying, there was a way i could go and change it to show as a run instead. Since the updates, i can't seem to change the type of exercise any longer!! I read on here about turning off the auto detect for elliptical which i did. I have just got back from a run and now it's not detected it at all!! I have manually input it using my times that i recorded elsewhere, and it has updated my steps so they are now incorrect.
I love my fitbit and have owned one for at least the last decade, but the app just seems to be going backwards and not improving with time. I just want it to log a run correctly and it not change my steps incorrectly. If needed i am happy to re-categorise it like i did before, but i need to know how.
Please can someone help me, as this is driving me nuts!
Thanks for your help

@RhiBennett Fitbit is aware that we are no longer able to correct the labels on workouts. This will be fixed in a future update, but I don't know when that will happen. In the meantime, I have been starting my exercise sessions manually on my device, rather than relying on automatic tracking. If you aren't familiar with that, the instructions can be found here.

Thanks for your reply. I normally use the Strava app on my phone when I run so I will make sure that I also start it on the Fitbit app too, until it’s sorted out. Hadn’t thought of that so thanks for the suggestion
