How can I cancel the automatic exercise feature which overrides the main clock screen when out on a walk?  I need the watch face as I don’t wear another watch and am not concerned about walk / time info. Thanks.

@JohnGregory , A warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for your message. 

Please on the Versa 4 swipe until you see the exercise apps. 
Open the Exercise app .
2. Tap the walk, run, or bike ride option.
3. Swipe up and turn off Walk Detect, Run Detect, or Bike Detect. The next time your watch detects this workout type, the Exercise app will not start automatically .
