I've had a Versa 2 for the past couple years and it's been great. Rock solid reliable and the battery still lasts for about a whole week. I've been thinking the past few days about upgrading to Versa 4 for the GPS and voice calling ability. But after coming here and reading about all the issues and problems with it, I'm not so sure. Is anybody here having good luck with it?

Hi @Cchip - it probably isn't a good choice to forego all the good things about a Versa 2 unless you are desperate for something on a Versa 4, even a Versa 3 has more features than the Versa 4. The Versa 2 has good HR, vibration and charging, large selection of clocks and apps which you may miss on the later models. Check carefully in the forums the things that are gone, and in particular the Versa 4 has a shorter GPS battery life than the Versa 3.

I love mine! It works perfectly except for the skin temp baseline issue. Other then that, it's bad **ahem**! My wife has the sense 2. The only thing different is it has an ecg feature. Which is lame...If you liked all the apps versa 2 has, versa 4 doesn't have much. We just got google maps... Seems like they rush launched the versa 4 and sense 2. Still fun though!

I made the switch from Versa 2 to Versa 4 about 2 months ago and I've been very unsatisfied. Over the 2 months, I've gotten sleep stage scores for onlI've chatted with customer service several times and no solution. My husband's Versa 3 is much better.

I updated from a Charge 3 to a Versa 4 at Christmas. I love the look and feel of the Versa 4, but the alarms app has disappeared from the device twice. The Fitbit app shows it is installed but it isn't on the watch and saved alarms don't work. This has happened twice now. Alarms will work for a couple of weeks, then the app disappears from the device. Hoping a firmware update will fix this soon. If not, I may just go back to my Charge 3. I worked without an issue for years.

I hate to say it but I'm about to go back to my Versa 2. I've had nothing but problems with the Versa 4. There are a couple of perks with it but it has a lot of issues like dropping GPS. It also stops working mid exercise. Sometimes it asks if you want to continue and sometimes it just out right shuts down the exercise. I've had problems with the Versa 4 daily. I'm so sorry I bought it.

I also have this experience with the Versa 4. Not as user friendly, takes forever to sync, the wrist band stinks! Never had any of these problems with the 2. The 4isn’t recording my sleep either. I’m really ready to go back to the 2

Are you hairy? I've tested this... I had to flip my watch to the bottom of my wrist to get it to record my sleep. Then I shaved my arms. I won't do that again lol I'm pretty sure the sensor can't get through the black hair very well.

@Cchip Welcome back to the Fitbit community!
The decision for or against the Versa 4 depends on what you are expecting to get.
What you don't get is a full fledged smart watch experience with hundreds of apps to play around with. You don't get music storage or even music control for your phone. And you don't get Google Assistant on the Versa 4 as Versa 4 only offers Alexa. That's where the Versa 3 has it's strengths.
What you get with the Versa 4 is a smart fitness watch that's ultra sleek although having several days of battery life. You get turn by turn navigation based on Google Maps.
I personally like the Vera 4 as it is because it offers all I need in a very sleek, modern design.

Thanks for the input to everyone - The Versa 2 has been solid for me, so I think I'll stick with it till it stops working. I'm amazed I still get 7 days out of the battery after two years of use!

Thanks for all of the responses, and for the initial question. My wife and I switched from Android Wear to Fitbit Versa 2's last year and love that watch. We have been debating on getting a Versa 4 and using Google Store credit. After reading all of the posts on multiple websites about heart rate accuracy issues and the responses in this thread I think we'll stick with our Versa 2's until they die.

I absolutely dislike my versa 4. I’ve had all versions Alf the versa and been a faithful user and I dislike this one so much m. I regret spending g the money and would not at all recommend. Horrible battery life, no third party apps, things don’t work, no music. It’s really not at all worth your money

I hate it! I really wished I’d have gotten the Versa 3 instead or at least got another Versa 2😩😩😩

@QsFit - hope it helps, and probably go for the Versa 2, unless there is anything you specifically need from the Versa 3.
At least it will be compatible with what you are used to and you won't have the HR, charging and weak vibrations issues found on the more expensive Versa 3.

I got with Fitbit about the Versa 4 issues and they sent me a new watch saying that mine must've been defective. I received the new watch with the exact same problems as the first and now, of course, the refund window has closed. I simply must chalk it up as a loss. I don't know if they plan on actual doing something to fix all the issues we users/customers have with the Versa 4 but so far it looks like they're doing absolutely nothing to satisfy the consumer. I just wish I had seen all these complaints before I made my decision to purchase the watch. By the way, I'm back to using my Versa 2 fulltime and I'm back to a steady operation of things with my workouts. If Fitbit ever does fix the Versa 4 it'll be great if they'd let us know since we're basically stuck with it. Just saying!

My versa four is terrible! The only thing it does well is steps. Heart rate is always wrong. I would like to get rid of it but don’t want to spend more money on another one.

I haven’t been able to find a Fitbit that does everything it is supposed to do correctly.
