I have use my Fitbit Versa 4 on my Hike and Walk so far, and GPS is extremely inaccurate. My issues are:
1. GPS map of the hike/walk shows extremely jittery, as if I am all over the road/trail, and the starting point and up to half a mile on the trail, GPS is completely wrong. I always wait for my GPS to be ready before I start my exercise.
2. Mileage is padded around 30% - My usual 4.8 mile walk is registering 6.2 miles on Versa 4. (Comparing the mileage and GPS against Garmin watch)
Is there any solution to increase accuracy of my Versa 4 GPS, or is my Versa 4 GPS broken?

Hi @Ironstone7 welcome to the Fitbit Community. It's great to have you here. Allow me to help you with the GPS accuracy on your Versa 4.
GPS activities may have some inaccuracies due to the environment mostly. There is a section of best practices in our help article How do I use GPS on my Fitbit device? below How do I get my Fitbit device to connect to GPS? > Built-in GPS > Best practices.
Take a look at them and see if that improves your experience. I hope this information be helpful for you !

I experienced similar issues with the GPS and running details on my Fitbit Versa 4. After contacting the Fitbit help desk and performing two factory resets, the problem persisted. It took them three weeks to conduct an offline check, and I had to send reminders to follow up. Now, they've asked me to send in the watch, but I'm not confident about it. Given that it took them three weeks for an offline check, I suspect it might take months to verify my watch. After being a Fitbit user for half a decade, I think it's time to move on.

Thanks @DavidFitbit for your input. I tried what was suggested on the article - charged my Fitbit above 90% every time I used the GPS and always make sure to see "connected" on GPS before I started using the device. I had gotten slightly better in terms of jitteriness (still jittery on the map, as if I am drunk walking all over the street) and continue to miss tracing the map/road. It is especially bad when there are tall trees and deeper in the woods (Garmin GPS perfectly functional at the same time). I think Fitbit Versa 4 GPS is not quite functional in those areas. Thanks for all the tips!

Thanks @Rpoh for your input. I tried everything and Fitbit Versa 4 GPS is not really working for me and my exercise standards. It had gotten slightly better when I charge every day and make sure the battery is above 90% charged etc, but still all over the place on the map, continue to lose the signals over the course of 3-6 miles hike in the mountains and woods with tall trees. I guess this watch may work best in the city area? I don't know but as what you said, I am afraid it is time for me to move on (back) to other GPS watch (for my hike, bike, swim, Garmin works the best). Thanks for your 2 cents!
