My Fitbit Versa 4 battery is dead. It won't charge and I don't know what to do with it. I live in South Africa and apparently Fitbit is no longer available in this country! My watch is 18 months old. Surely there must be something I can do?

Hey there @phutchSA, thanks for being back in the Community.
I'm truly sorry to hear that the suggestions haven't resolved the issue you're experiencing.
I understand why you think it might be a syncing issue, but based on what you've described, it seems more likely to be a hardware problem.
Since you've already tried all the suggested steps, let's create a case with our support team. Please fill out this form and let me know when you're done.

I had problems charging when the battery was too drained. The only thing that worked was putting the watch in the charger and gripping both in my hand. It doesn't have to be held very tight. Hopefully in a minute or two the Fitbit display will turn on and you may start getting a battery charge %.
I made sure the connectors were clean as well. If I used any of the features (alarm, timers etc..) the battery life drains quickly. The battery life notifications are inconsistent, sometimes I will get none, battery life low around 40% and battery life low around 19%.
Hopefully this works for you,
