Hi all:
I would like to briefly share my experience with the Fitbit Versa 4, particularly regarding the software. About three months ago, I bought the Google Pixel 8a, and since I wanted a fitness tracker to go with it, I decided to get the Fitbit Versa 4 as well.
I am quite happy with the hardware. The display is easy to read thanks to its brightness, even in direct sunlight. I also find the design appealing; in my opinion, a square shape is more practical for digital displays than a round watch face.
However, the software has significant flaws, which is why I definitely wouldn't buy this watch again. I also won’t be renewing my Premium subscription, which came free for six months with the purchase of the watch. For example, on some days, the sleep app provides a specific score, while on other days it doesn't, even though my usage hasn't changed. I can't identify any pattern here. Furthermore, for the past few days, I haven’t been able to share the map via WhatsApp after using the sports function with GPS, as the map simply won't load.
These features aren't absolutely essential for me, but if they are offered, they should work reliably—especially when you're charging around €80 per year for them.
I hope that, after parting ways with Google, Fitbit will focus on essential fitness functions that actually work properly. Before the Fitbit Versa 4, I had a fitness tracker from Huawei, the Huawei Watch 1, which cost around € 50 a few years ago. In comparison, its software worked flawlessly.
