Fitbit Versa 4 registering lower calorie count than usual

I've noticed in the past 2-3 days my fitbit Versa 4 is registering a much lower calorie count than usual. Sometimes I'll manual enter an activity/exercise on my phone (ios) and the calorie count immediately reflects that, then drops down to something much lower. What's going on???

Hi @lmneilson, it's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community!

Let me tell you that Fitbit devices estimate your calories burned based on your:

  • Personal information (age, sex, height, and weight)
  • Basal metabolic rate (BMR)
  • Activity tracked by your device

Tip: Some things to consider that may affect your device’s calorie burn estimate:

  • If your device tracks heart rate, it will take that into account in the estimate.
  • If you use the Exercise app to track workouts and real-time heart-rate data.

As a recommendation make sure that you wear your device correctly on top of your wrist. If you switch your device to your other wrist, update the Wrist setting in the Fitbit app. For more information, check How do I wear my Fitbit device?

Thanks, but that doesn't explain why my daily count would suddenly be dramatically lower, when I'm doing the same exact amount/level of physical activity as I always have and tracked.
