Versa 4 not recording sleep data

Brand new Versa4 isn't tracking sleep data.  It did catch a couple of naps but nothing overnight. I've tried troubleshooting steps as well as 2 different bands. Sensitivity is set in higher option.  Ready to return this if it won't work.

Hi @SuZMcC. A warm welcome to the community forums.

Thank you for sharing with me the information about this difficulty that you are experiencing with Versa 4. Thank you for trying to fix it on your own.

If you are currently not receiving sleep information, please review the following recommendations:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed). For more information on automatic sleep tracking, see How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device?
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

For more information, see What should I know about Fitbit sleep stages?

I've done all of this. The problem originally started on my versa2 after
almost 5 years so I replaced it thinking my 2 was on its last legs, but 4
isn't reading it either. I've rebooted, recharged, tried 2 watchbands for
placement, rebooted app.

Thanks for responding @SuZMcC

Before considering return the device, I suggest you reach out to Support. They are better equipped to help you with this than I am here.

Hope you can get this fixed quickly.
