The brand new versa 4 is not receiving messages.  Versa was paired with the Samsung 11 phone which has the current operating system.  All apps have been enabled to allow notifications but messages are not coming to the watch. Have removed watch from Phone and re paired and no luck.  Need help!

@Catdogg - note: if the old phone is still active the watch can connect to it anytime and you will stop getting notifications from your phone if this happens.

If you still want to use the old phone at least logout of the Fitbit App and remove the watch Bluetooth entries from it.

Hi @Catdogg - by chance did you pull down on the watch face to get to Quick Settings and turn off all the icons?

The watch will need to be near the phone and syncing so that any notifications that appear on the phone status bar can be sent. Phone do not disturb must be off.

Hi there, @Catdogg. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Fitbit device is still not receiving text messages. I understand your concern, we're here to help!

Have you tried what @Guy_ has suggested? The main reason why notifications won't come through is due to sleep mode being enabled.
When sleep mode is on:

  • Notifications, goal celebrations, and reminders are muted.
  • The screen's brightness is set to dim.
  • The screen stays dark when you turn your wrist. To wake your tracker, firmly tap the screen twice.
  • The sleep mode icon illuminates in quick settings.

To better assist you, may I know if the new phone is an iPhone? Are the text messages you're referring to iMessages? If that describes your issue, please try to toggle the iMessage setting; general > Messages > iMessage and verify the "Show Previews" is on "Always".

In addition, I'd like to confirm if you have another Fitbit device besides the one you're having issues with?

Hi,  I have checked all settings and no luck.  I am assisting a friend with the Versa device as I have a Charge 6 which I love no issues now.  There were some issues in the beginning with my Charge 6 but all worked out.

There is only one phone connected to the Versa.  I see that I had a typo in one of my posts.  The versa is now receiving notifications.  I posted last night.  Thanks again for following up!
