So I got pretty mad in the morning about my fitbit because it wasn't cooperating and forgot it from my phone as the only way to stop a 762 minute call that's started during the night. When I tried to reconnect to it, it continued to reject connection and was connecting to another device in my home (not sure what) and it has been making me increasingly angry. I've turned Bluetooth on and off again several times with no luck and am starting to consider getting a new watch.

Yesterday I noticed that my sleep wasn't updating like it normally does. My Bluetooth is on and connected to other devices but when I select Versa 4 from the list, nothing happens. My fitbit tells me that it needs to update the firmware, presumably to repair the Bluetooth connection issue? But in order to do the update (which says it will take 45 minutes!?) it needs to be connected via Bluetooth... So my watch is basically an alarm clock and timer now. No more smart features or health tracking. Updating the phone app didn't help, and restarting the watch didn't do anything either. I'm dissapointed with the direction things are going since the acquisition. I'll be looking into non-FAANG smart watch options in the future.
