Football/Soccer Tracking, Best exercise to select

Hi

Recently purchased the fitbit versa 4.

Played soccer recently, & selected the run option, GPS enabled. Everytime I stopped, the tracking would stop, & I would then have to restart the activity, so I had 4 sessions in one hour of soccer.

Does anyone know of a solution? My aim is to track Kms that I have run.

Thanks.

@SunsetRunner   Yes, there is.  I was going to save customizing the screen for chapter 2, haha, but here goes.  I mentioned the top, middle, and bottom stat choices.  In the Sport shortcut, the default top is calories, the bottom is elapsed time, and the middle stat has different stats that you can scroll through by swiping.  You probably don't want to be swiping through the screen while on the pitch.  The current time is one of the stats -- for any position.  You can make it the top or the bottom.  Honestly, if the most important thing during play is the current time, then make it the middle stat and turn off the other middle stat choices.  Then you will have it in the largest font available.

Hello @SunsetRunner and welcome to the Community.  There is a Sport shortcut on the Sense 2/Versa 4 and has GPS available.  You can get to the same place two ways -- swipe the Versa 4 face to the Exercise Tile and tap on All - or - short press the button and select the Exercise app.

  • Swipe up to the Explore section and tap on Other Exercises
  • Swipe up past the Popular exercises to the alphabetical list
  • Swipe up to Sport and tap on that
  • Before you start, you need to customize the Sport settings -- swipe up on the tiny "^" at the bottom of the screen
  • First, toggle the Heart Zone Notifications Off or it will drive you crazy
  • Keep Laps toggled to Off
  • Swipe up to GPS and toggle it to On
  • For future customization, you can customize the top, middle, bottom stat

Good news!  After you use this shortcut, it will be one of the three shortcuts you see when you swipe the Versa 4 screen to the Exercise tile.  After you use it once, it's choose, tap and go.  When you are playing, there is a Pause option, maybe good for half time.  I've never paused an exercise on my Sense 2.  So I don't know how well it works or if an inadvertent swipe/tap could turn it off or resume it when you don't want it.

The Run shortcut has an auto pause and auto stop it its settings.  That's what led to the four sessions.

Brilliant, thanks. I'll try this out on Monday.

Also, is there anyway to toggle to see what the time is whilst this sport setting is active without any impact? Or a way to show the time whilst doing any exercise?
