GPS on Versa 4

Hi.  I know the versa 4 has built in gps.  If i use the watch exercize screen to begin a run or a bike ride, the gps comes on automatically.  But if i use the same method to start a walk the gps doesnt work.  the only way i can get the gps to work is to start the walk form the app.

 

Is this normal?  Or is it something i can fix?

@TM27 Welcome to the Fitbit community!

Sounds strange. I'd suggest trying to start a walking exercise not by tapping on the appropriate icon from the last three selected exercises but by selecting walking from the list of all available exercises and then verifying whether or not GPS is activated before actually starting the exercise.

Thank you.  I kind of found a workaround.  instead of choosing Walk, I tried choosing Hike.  The GPS came on then.  I'm fine with considering a neighborhood walk as a hike 🙂
