Google Maps doesn't work with transit

Google Maps works with driving, walking, and cycling. But when I navigate with transit on my phone, I can't get the navigation to show up on my Fitbit Versa 4.

I'm thinking this is not supported even though I see nothing online or in the product material that says this shouldn't work. Can someone definitively say if this is not supported? If not, it is a deal breaker and I need to return my Fitbit.

I spoke to support and it seems that this is NOT supported. I wish this was clearer in the marketing. I hope others find this post helpful.
