I am having to monitor my heart rate as have long covid and need to maintain exercise (only walking) within moderate heart rate levels. I came back from a walk today, downhill and not difficult and my fitbit gave the walk the usual distance etc but showed my maximum heart rate was 172 bpm. The graph on my watch showed a peak of 106 bpm and on the app 162 bpm. I certainly didn't feel like my heart was beating fast, but it is now as I'm extremely concerned! I'm going to have to buy a separate heart rate monitor so that I can double-check before heading off to see my GP.
