How do I manually log steps on my Versa 4?

I did not wear my Versa 4 Fitbit today for most of the day but I would like to add my number of steps I did today based on data from my Apple Watch that I did wear all day.  How do I add those steps to my Fitbit step total  for today?   Thank you for your help.

@CCT54  The moderator's link doesn't really have the directions to add steps to your day.  You can't add steps listed on your Apple Watch, but you log a walk for the approximate number of steps.  This uses the fact that adults take about (emphasis on about) 2000 steps per mile.  I looked at your public profile and you average close to 5,000 steps per day.  This will get you close, but not exact:

  • Tap on the "+" sign on the Exercise tile on your Fitbit app
  • Slide the toggle to Log
  • Enter Walk in the search field
  • Tap on the Starts box and choose the correct date on the spinning date wheel
  • The start time is irrelevant when adding to a previous day
  • Set the duration for one hour
  • Set the distance for 2.5 miles -- probably less
  • Tap Add

Please keep in mind that manually added steps and distance don't count towards your lifetime distance and badges.  You won't get a lifetime distance badge when you expect it.

@LZeeW this about badges:

... isn't relevant anymore, is it? 🙂

@t.parker   The daily and lifetime badges are still available. I still see mine.  Funny thing, I did the three remaining adventures through Yosemite (there used to be more) and collected all the treasures.  All those badges are in my collection and I expected them to go away.

Then again, who knows what tomorrow will bring.

Looks like not everything is disappearing on time. This morning was last time I have seen open groups (now gone) and they should be discontinued on 27th so who knows what's going to happen to the badges 🤔

@t.parker Badges are staying. Fitbit has not said they were being taken away. That could change in the future, but for now badges are staying.
