I have a Fitbit that was given to me but have no paperwork. It's a little larger than mine I want to switch to this new one, but want to transfer my existing data to the different one but don't now how.

Hello @Jeannelouise and welcome to the Community. This link to the User Manuals has basic photos of all models to help get you started. But some models have real buttons, one button, three buttons, or what are called haptic buttons. If my link doesn't help, please post a few pictures, front and back.
All of your data is saved on your Fitbit account. It can be as simple as adding it to your account, once you know the model. Please keep in mind that the Versa 4 is the current model in the Versa series. If it isn't a Sense 2, then it is an older model.
I think I've had 10 different Fitbit models on my account over the years. I never lost a step adding a new device.
