As soon as it realises I’m walking it automatically starts the exercise mode, then I can’t see the clock face until I stop this exercise mode.. how do I stop it going into exercise mode?

@Aitch115 , Nice to see you around. Thank you for your message.
The Versa 4 is able to detect if you are running walking or biking, besides the other activities.
Choose to turn on/off walk, run, or bike ride detect to automatically start the Exercise app when your watch recognizes a walk, run, and bike ride. To turn this setting on/off:
1. Open the Exercise app .
2. Tap the walk, run, or bike ride option.
3. Swipe up and turn on Walk Detect, Run Detect, or Bike Detect. The next time your watch detects this workout type, the Exercise app automatically opens.
Note that if you leave this setting off, basic stats about your walks, runs, and bike rides are still recorded in the Fitbit app.

@Aitch115 active zone minutes should be recorded whether you manually start, or auto start, or haven't recorded any exercise.
Active zone minutes do depend on having a solid heart rate reading.
@JuanFitbit has posted the instructions to turn on/off auto detect for the Versa 4. If you have a different model, you may need to open the fitbit app > tap the exercise tile > tap the 3 dots in the top right > and disable on the next screen
