Incorrect mileage on walks

My Versa seems to really underestimate how many miles I have walked on a walk workout by almost half. I have verified the error by walking on community paths that have the mileage identified. There is no way I am only walking at a 25 minute pace per mile when I speed walk. Any ideas?
