Is a screen protector a good idea for my Versa 4?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Some of my around the house chores can get a bit dirty and rough.   Example, I’m currently resetting some fence posts that involves dirt excavation by shovel and hand tools.

Up on my wrist the Versa 4 is out of the way but who knows.  I see some screen protectors on the market for this device.

Looking for input for the if/when purchase.

Hi again @Altoid4ever - yes screen protectors can be a good idea, buy a batch, as they are cheap, typically less than a $, and you may loose or get paint or oils on them and can throw them away.

With a Versa 4 you won't even need to remove them to charge.

Also look at robust straps which offer encasement meaning less of a risk of the watch strap breaking or getting disconnected and lost.

Thx.  I’ll grab some screen protectors and check out the band alternatives.

Not worth it. I’ve had multiple fitbits. I do a lot of activities outside and getting extremely dirty. Never have I broken one. The way Fitbit is going, your watch will probably stop working or google will change something else in the next 6 months to render your watch obsolete or make it junk.

I got a set of 4 from Amazon for about $8.  So they are throw-aways.   They fit well and don't affect the touch screen functionality.  I'm more concerned about banging this thing around when I'm outside clearing small trees and brush, as well as some heavy duty yard maintenance.  I already smacked it against a small log during one project out there.  No damages so far.

As far as your other point.  Hopefully not

I have a Bumper that is also a screen protector also and I had the same brand on my old Fitbit. What I don’t like is that sweat gets trapped under it, but once they clean it with my microfiber cloth that I use for my phone it is all good to go. I like that it comes in a four pack.  Here is the link: NANW 4-Pack Screen Protector Case Compatible with Fitbit Sense 2/Versa 4, Soft TPU Plated Bumper Full Cover Protective Cases for Versa 4/Sense 2 Smartwatch [Scratch-Proof] https://a.co/d/6KFQXNx
