My experience with Versa 4

Versa 4 is a piece of junk! Do not waste your money.

I have called and emails about my heart rate being inaccurate during intense exercises. I purchased a chest strap monitor due to this discrepancy and it is INSANELY inaccurate. I’ll be 160 when the Fitbit is reading 84 bpm. I tried all the troubleshooting and then they would send me an email with a different person asking me to troubleshoot the same way I had already done 5 times . They finally sent an email saying they would replace but I would need to send my device in first… ummm no. I purchased this to use as a watch- I’m a nurse. I need a watch. I suggested they send me one and I will then send the old one. No response.

since my original hr issue I have encountered even more issues. My device rarely syncs in order to sync I have to restart device… probably 4-5x a week and when I do that all my calorie burns get distorted and become inaccurate. It’s ridiculous. I’ve used Fitbit for over 10 years. This is the worst product they have made.

Hi @rmille31 - unfortunately replacing the watch probably isn't going to fix the HR issue.

If you are on firmware 194.61 doing a factory reset and setup again should put you back to the previous less buggy firmware version and solve the syncing and other issues.

I'm having this issue too. I wear a polar HR chest strap too during workouts and while the strap reads 160bpm+ while doing a spin workout or other high intensity w/o, my fitbit won't get above 110bpm+. I've even done the old school count pulse rate to see which is accurate and the polar strap always is. I never had this issue with my versa 2 (rip water damage). The strap and 2 would always have similar if not the same readings.

I've worn it up and down my forearm, inside and outside the wrist, even on the other wrist and still doesn't help.

I’ve done that. I would hope they would replace with a generation of watch that isn’t faulty or refund me my money.
