My experience with Versa 4

I got a Fitbit Versa 4 when the battery of my Versa 3 malfunctioned. I honestly hate it so much.

  • I don't always receive calls
  • Reaching apps is not intuitive
  • I can't even access my home screen right now - would love to go back to accessing my heart rate with a single tap
  • It's not easy to add apps - I had Spotify on the old 3 but can't add it to the 4.

It is so strange that an "upgrade" leaves me feeling worse off. I regret getting a Fitbit Versa 4 so much.

Hi there, @LiterallyKath. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'm sorry to hear about the inconveniences you've been having with your Versa 4. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

Regarding the calls not working, I'd recommend checking if your mobile device meets the requirements to properly operate with your Fitbit device. For more information, see Fitbit Compatible Devices.

In addition, please try following the steps I recommended in this post of mine and let me know if they do the trick for you too. Also, make sure that your Versa 4 is updated

About the screen and apps, would you mind confirming if the touchscreen is not responsive? If so, please try the steps below:

  1. From the Today tab in the Fitbit app, tap the devices icon at the top-left corner.
  2. Tap your Fitbit device image.
  3. Near the bottom of the page, tap Sync Now.

If the above doesn't work, please restart your Fitbit device as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device? Note: Restarting the device doesn’t delete any data. If the restart doesn't work try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.

As for Spotify, please note that third party apps cannot be installed on Versa 4 or Sense 2 as on other Fitbit devices. I understand why this might be helpful. Even though we truly appreciate that you've taken the time to come here and share your thoughts about this, please note at this time there are no plans to implement this feature on Versa 4.

We rely on feedback like yours to help us develop products and features that we know our community wants to see. Visit our FAQs to learn more about how Fitbit decides which suggestions get developed or implemented.

Further to my concerns, my runs and walks are not uploading to Strava the way they automatically did on the Versa 3.

My last two rides I have recorded less than half the ride as the GPS went completely cactus.

I hate the Versa 4 so much. I feel like every day I have a new reason to be annoyed by it. The Versa 3 was a great asset to my life. The Versa 4 belongs in the garbage.
