Need a new Versa 4

Picked up my Versa 4 the other day, did the set up and updates, wore it for a couple days and then crashed. Blank screen buzzed when I pushed the side button and buzzed when I attached charger. Screwed around with with it after work yesterday and somehow it started to show life again. Fitbit screen showed up, then the red X and then started to boot up. Reinstalled the App and everything was hunky-dory for about 10 minutes and then crashed again.

Bought this at Kohls, so do I return it there, talk to someone here or get a new unit sent to me? And, how do I get the latter accomplished? I need this handled and am very frustrated.

@Forreal , A warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for your message and information.

I get where your frustration comes from. Be assured that I will try to get you back on track .

In the meantime try the following :

In the Fitbit App, from the Today tab, tap the Devices > Versa 4> Sync now. A banner with an update should appear in the app.

  • If Sync Now doesn’t show an update banner, please tap the Devices icon>Versa 4

      > Gallery. The app should show a pop up to install the missing apps and recover the device.
Restart the Versa 4 by holding the button for 8-10 seconds until the Fitbit logo appears. Release the button afterwards.

If the steps above do not solve the x then try the following:

  1. Press and hold the device's button until the screen turns off, then begins to flash.
  2. When the screen begins to flash, release the button and immediately press and hold the button again.
  3. Wait for the Fitbit logo to appear. Once the logo disappears and the screen begins to flash again, release the button, then press and hold the button again.
  4. When the Fitbit logo appears, release the button, then wait for the watch to complete the factory reset.

Thank you for the reply. I will try the steps you mentioned first and then go from there.

Not real sure what's happening with these units but seems like more than a few people are in the same boat.

Thanks again for your help, I appreciate it.

Update...

I'm still not getting anything from my Versa 4. Same buzz when push button, same buzz when I attach charger. No lights, no red x, no flashing screen. Uninstalled and reinstalled app. Won't sync via Bluetooth either.

I think I'm done with this. I need to exchange for something else. All I want is something that works.

Thanks
