Notifications are not coming through my Versa 4

Hi,

I've been a loyal user since Fitbit first came out, but I'm so disappointed with the Versa series.  I had a Versa 3 that quit doing anything except being a pedometer, so I decided to replace it (it was a whopping two years old).  I debated for quite a bit between the Versa 4 and the Apple watch.  I wish I'd chosen differently. I can't get any notifications without manually syncing, and often not even then.  I've done all of the steps with Bluetooth, reset, restart, background app refresh on, even leaving the fitbit app actively running on screen, my notifications can't be more on.  I guess at this point I'm stuck with a fancy pedometer, again, unless Fitbit solves this issue.

Hi there, @k10pinter. Thanks for stopping by in the Community Forums and trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 4 before reaching out. We‘re taking your comments and sentiments in regards to our products into consideration.

While reading your posts above, I was wondering if you did remove your old Versa 3 from your Fitbit account and phone's Bluetooth settings?

It seems that your Versa 4 cannot connect properly to your Fitbit app since you haven't yet forgotten the connection between your old watch and the phone's Bluetooth which would explain the  issues you're running into. With that said, try the steps below:

  • Unpair your Versa 4 and old Versa 3 from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Versa 4 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 4.

Hope that helps.

I have the same issue with message notifications not coming through.
I do receive calendar alerts.
I have tried all the fixes suggested.
The first Versa 4 I bought had a defective battery and I managed to get it replaced. I had assumed the lack of notifications was somehow linked to this fault but clearly not.
Super annoying. 😢

I’d already done that.

Thank you,

Hey, I went through the exact same thing but with a Versa Lite and also kinda regret it. But I found that you have to wait for the apps to send your phone notifications for them to show up to add them
