Planning to get a Versa 4

I started off with a Charge 2, specifically to keep an eye on my HR activity because I have tachycardia and the occasional AFib. After about three and half years, it died on me, and I replaced it with a Charge 3 (the 4 didn't add anything I thought would be useful at the time, so the 3 was cheaper). After two and a half years, my Charge 3 is dying (getting that black-bands-on-the-sides-of-the-screen issue, and getting worse, basically making the screen unreadable), so I've decided to upgrade. FYI, I workout regularly doing a different variety of things, or at least I did before I hurt my back; I'm hoping to get active again once I'm better.

My choice was the Versa 4, despite some of the handicapping. I wanted a smartwatch starter, of sorts, and felt that I'd probably get what I needed from the Versa 4 at the Black Friday price point. I didn't think the extra couple of sensors on the Sense 2 would be worth the money (plus I'm skeptical about their accuracy), and the Versa 3 is two years old already, makes future updates and support dubious. The lack of third party support didn't bother me much. It seems inconvenient, but still functional. I'm a little disappointed about the lack of Google Assistant, but I read that they're planning to add it later, along with Maps and such. Basically, it seems like they just released it with the software unfinished and they're adding it in later. Other stuff sounds like it would need to be connected to my phone to use, and if I have to have my phone on me, I would probably just use that.

I haven't received it yet, so please shoot holes in my reasoning. Is there something I'm not considering or getting wrong?

@tribangen just to clarify, Fitbit never officially confirmed any plans of adding Google Assistant and most likely this isn't going to happen.

I've just bought a versa 4; and I am not able to use it due to charger issue. The charger that they've sent is not working and I'm not having any answer from support. I would not recommend getting any new product from the official site, because you can't test it before buying. As far as I am reading, you have to be lucky to get a good one from the site. Or wait more 3-4 months to see if they have some shame on what they are doing and start selling good products for the price that they are 'charging'. (because the charger does not work, ha ha, got it? :drums:)
