Replace Versa 4 or upgrade?

HI,

Back in September I posted that my Versa 4 was no longer sending the bluetooth and the phone would not see it in the list of Bluetooth devices nearby.  This was even after charging the fitbit multiple of times.  This time I am seeing if it is worth paying extra for the Sense 2 or just replace with a new Versa 4 device?  I prefer the square screen and not the rectangle, skinny screen the other devices have.

Thank you,
Barry

You didn't say if your Sept problem got fixed and it's working now, or if it still has problems.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Hi @BarryDJK - you mentioned upgrade, if you are considering replacing the watch (outside warranty) some of the older watches, if you can still get them, have the same format but have features that the Sense 2 or Versa 4 don't have.

The Sense 2 uses the same software as the Versa 4 but sometimes the metal strips fall off, so could be more troublesome.

It mainly depends on what you want the watch to do or to use it for.

Yes, the first two sentences above.  Even after charging the device multiple times, it still would not show up for my phone and I could not figure out what to do on the fitbit device itself.  I might have gotten 6 years ago, Black Friday 2019.  If so, I would say 6 years is pretty good.

HI, what I mean by upgrade is going with the Sense 2.  Or just replace with a new Versa 4 item.  I did look at the comparison and see the Sense 2 has ECG for heart rate assessment, all day response and stress notifications and EDA scan app, and Gyroscope.  Is it worth the extra money for those extras?  Or, if I should change from square screen and go to circle format with a Google Pixel Watch device (1, 2, 3, 3, 4, 4).  I already got a new metal band back in August, after my original band broke (something fell off), so would be ideal to replace with a new Versa 4 or switch to Sense 2, as looks like uses same band.  The Pixel Watch series takes a different band style, I am guessing.  Btw, I see a store near me has the same prices and could pick up today/Nov 9, and would not have to pay for shipping.  So, right now, I am seeing Versa 4 for $119.95 (save 80), Sense 2 for $179.95 (save 70), and Google Pixel Watch 3 45mm for $199.99 (save 100).

@BarryDJK- the Sense/Versa 3 and Sense 2/Versa 4 use the same bands and have around a 5-7 day battery life, the Pixels font' last as long, if that is important to you.[The Versa 2 is squarer but uses different bands.]

If you want a greater choice of clock faces and access to all the apps and more detailed information on the watch the older models are better, Otherwise if you are happy with a Versa 4 unless you want a specific feature then that is the cheapest of those mentioned. It depends on your needs

FWIW, I had a similar problem and replaced my original Versa 4 with a new one, rather than switching to something different. Now back to 5+ day battery life and full-functionality. I considered a Sense 2 or Pixel, but as the Versa 4 had been so trustworthy for me I decided to stick with it for as long as I can.
