Swimming with the Versa 4

Has anyone with the Versa 4 watch experienced any issues after they have used it for swimming?I had the Versa 3 before and it broke down after a couple of sessions in the pool telling that the watch’s components are not strong for using it whilst swimming after all? I was in a 25m pool for freestyle stroke so it’s not like I was underwater the whole time!

I have a Versa 4 and use it during water aerobics. Before I go in the water, I set the "screen wake" to button only and turn on "swimming" exercise, which turns on water lock. I have not had a problem with use in the water.

Hi @clairechops - unfortunately the build quality on some watches are not that reliable and the seals fail over time.

While the watch is under warranty it can be replaced but as it nears the end of warranty (because it might not break down immediately) it might be wise to avoid getting it wet.

@clairechops I swam with all my Fitbits (except Charge 2) and all worked fine. I haven't owned Versa 4 but I used Sense 2 and didn't get any damage. The quality of Fitbit devices is kind of a lottery. I was lucky all my devices worked when swimming, others may be less lucky.
