The TODAY tab on my cell phone Fitbit app for my Versa 4 is not working so I cannot get into Devices to change the clock face.  The COACH and YOU tabs work okay.   Is there a way to change a clock face through the Fitbit site on my laptop?  I've had this Versa 4 for just five days.

HI @LynneLee - you may be able to resolve the problem with a Logout of the Fitbit App and swipe off the active window and in Android clear the storage cache and force stop it and then restart the phone.

Thanks for trying to help.  I did the steps you recommended and it didn't work for me.  I usually use the phone app to check my Fitbit stats, but I also have the Fitbit app on my tablet and have now discovered I have the same issue on it with not being able to use the TODAY tab either.  Do you know if I can use the website on my laptop to get to this Device link?  If there is a way I haven't found it .

@LynneLee  - you can't sync via the browser.

It's not a good idea to use 2 devices when there is a problem either.

Turn off the tablet and restart the watch, repeat the above procedure with the WiFi turned off In case it is causing a problem) and just use the ohone mobile data connection.

When you login again you should see your steps (and other stats) immediately on the first screen (Today tab). If that isn't the screen you see can you post a photo of the first screen you see after entering name and password.

I followed the steps and still can't access the Today tab.  The first screen that popped up after I logged in was a reminder to allow location access to sync.  I did get that screenshot,  Do you need to see it?  Then it went right to my stats for the day.

I just shut my phone off and turned on my tablet to see if it would work on the tablet.  Nope.  Still cannot access that Today tab on there either.  So I turned the tablet off again.

I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the Fitbit app on my phone before I went through this last process.

@LynneLee - thanks for the clarification, it is not a reminder to grant location access, it is required. If it is not granted the Today tab won't work properly.

I went through all the steps again a few times.  Made sure that location is allowed when it comes up after logging on.  Still can't get into the Today tab.

I turned on all permissions in the app, instead of only Location, and that didn't help.

I've only had this Versa 4 since May 2 and I don't have it all set up with the features I want... like a new clock face.  🙄

@Guy_ Thank you for your help.

@LynneLee , A warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for your message and efforts.

What is your phone model? What Android version or iOS version does it use?
It seems that you are using an old version from the Fitbit app.

In the Fitbit app, tap on the settings icon ( gear icon upper right corner) > Help and Support.
In the title you'll see the app version you have installed.
Make sure that you have app version 4.16 as this is the newest release.
Keep in mind, if you are using an Android device, that this has at least Android 10 installed to be able to install the latest app update.

Please update the app and let us know how it goes.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 8.  Android version 9.  Fitbit app version 4.14.

It won't update to the Android 10.  So now I have to get a new phone in order to make changes to this new Fitbit... ?

@LynneLee , Thank you for your reply and information.

You can still use the Fitbit app on that device, just the new updates where the issue with the Today tab was corrected cannot be installed.
As with almost every electronic device and apps, it's always recommended to use an updated device and apps due to security reasons. But we leave it up to you.

@LynneLee - sorry about the difficulties, did you know Fitbit have a 45 day refund policy or possibly authorised dealers too, some stores provide 14 to 30 day refunds.

Sometimes changing phones can be quite a challenge especially if the one you have is working fine.
