So it's the second or third time my new versa 4 has been reading my resting heart rate at 120+ while sitting or lying in bed. After I give it a restart it starts reading properly. Is there any way to prevent this from happening again in the future? Is this something the developers are aware of?
Because the first time it happened it scared me a bit and I had to get an oximeter from my gf to read my pulse which was 62 at the time. Another thing it messes with my sleep pattern recordings when it happens, claiming I'm only receiving 1 or 2 hours of sleep.
12/28/23: Watch is still doing the same thing so my theory was incorrect. Watch goes nuts and keeps going up and up on the heart reading while resting and doing nothing. I put the watch on a family member to see what will happen and nope it still pushed up past 120bpm. So there's an issue with the sensor or the software. I've never had this issue with the Sense 2 so possibly a newer model issue. Since I'm not getting any help here I'll be sending this thing back for a refund.
12/29/23: Think the watch was naturally getting less surface area around my wrist as my arms got thinner from working out/dieting so putting the watch higher on the forearm and on a few more notches seem to have stopped the sporadic readings. Am leaving this information here as to help someone who is having the same issue. However my refund could have been avoided if someone chimed in with that info, thanks fitbit crew 👍.
