Using Versa 4 with my older Charge

I just got a new Versa 4. I was forced to set up a Google accout just for that, which is not very convenient for me. I have had various Fitbit devices for more than 9 years now and so far I was able to use my email for registration and managing the app. OK, I accepted the condition. To my big disappointment, however, it looks like I will not be able to use my older Charge 4 and the new Versa 4. This is terrible disappointment. I planned to use Charge as the device for working in the garden and doing things that might damage the new Versa, but the account only gives me the option to replace the old device with new one. I am certain it was not necessary in the past? Why are you changing things for the worse? Forcing people into Google account and limiting me for using one device only? I read here in the forum I am not the only one disappointed with this. Instead you accommodating this understandable need, you are telling people to set up two accounts and syncing devices manually. Really? I am considering that I will return the device, this is so disappointing.

There have been many many complaints about this, but it preceded any involvement with Google by many years.

Many years ago Fitbit stopped allowing us to have multiple models together unless one was a very old model.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
