Announcing the release of Fitbit Firmware Update 1.184.52!

This update should now be available to all customers! If you have any difficulty updating, make sure you are following the directions in How do I update my Fitbit device?. If you choose to post about your issue, provide as many specific details as possible in your post so that we can assist you.

*Firmware releases are not distributed based on region or location and can reach anyone no matter where you reside. We do not recommend performing a factory reset to force the update to your device as your data will be lost and you may not get the update. Please be patient and wait until you see the update banner inside of the Fitbit app to begin the firmware download.

WHAT’S NEW AND FIXED

• Google Pay is rolling out as a new payment option on your device. For more information, see What should I know about using my Fitbit device to make contactless payments?

• Use the built-in speaker and microphone on your device to take calls from your wrist. For more information, see How do I take on-wrist phone calls with my Fitbit smartwatch?

• To turn off the screen when not in use, briefly cover the watch face with your opposite hand. For more information, see How do I navigate my Fitbit device?

• This release includes bug fixes and improvements.

Articles are saying google wallet is now accessible on the Versa 4. I can’t find it in the app or on the watch. Where is it?

As per Fitbit CS, we have to upgrade firmware of versa 4 first. But firmware update is not available 😕.

Is anyone else not seeing Google Wallet on the app yet for Versa 4 in the UK? I've seen today that the function should have been functional from today but Google Wallet doesn't appear as an option in the menu yet. Anyone else had any joy? I can't seem to see how you can update the app, either...

Fitbit doesn't make it available for all at one. It can take up to 3 weeks until you get the update 😞

There was a notice about the update in my Fitbit app on the phone. Clicking in the app applied the update.

Mine is on 61.20001.169.418 which seems older than yours. I don't know how they release updates.

I'm also on the version. Why can't they just make this update readily available for everyone the same way Apple does things? This watch is really starting to annoy me and believe that this update will turn it into a real smartwatch.

Honestly, I am trying to avoid my temptation of getting the Galaxy Watch 5.
