Anyone else getting the problem where the Versa Floor counter is way off? It is randomly adding 40+ floors for no reason.

Hi @blake001 - if your Versa 4 is not tracking floors correctly you can get it replaced under warranty.
However it may require a factory reset, though it is rare for that to resolve it.
You can always chat via the Fitbit App, click profile photo, Help & support, Contact Customer support to get them to check it with you.

Welcome to the Fitbit community, @blake001!
Versa 4, as similar devices, uses a barometric pressure sensor for counting floors. Those sensors can be influenced by a number of reasons being abrupt weather changes, windy environment and even daily activities like opening doors or driving.
For more details on how your Versa 4 does floor counting please have a look here:

@blake001- while it is true the pressure sensor can detect all sorts of pressure changes, it shouldn't do this unless you are also registering steps.
Generally once the watch does adding random floors it is faulty, if neither a restart or factory reset help. Sometimes a firmware may also create this issue but as there are no recent ones that do it is almost certainly defective.

What I learned today is hills gives you floors. Went for a hilly walk today. In about an hour and a half I logged 51 floors.

@Altoid4ever - that is correct, your watch also counts elevation of about 10 feet increments when walking - see How does my Fitbit device count floors climbed?

Thanks for that link. It helps to understand how that function works. Up..but not down. So then overall my walk yesterday I ascended about 550 feet. And of course, even though not counted, descended same as well.
