Versa 4 Issues and Customer Service

My girlfriend gets a new Fitbit every 2 years.  This year I bought her a new one for Christmas. She wore the watch for less than a week.  Had several issues. She couldn't get text/call notifications.  It would stop tracking her walks/jogs mid workout.  It would even shut off with no warning when she manually started a workout. Then it stopped working all together. 2 weeks old! She spoke to customer service.  They apologized and said, "Send back the watch, we'll send you a new one"... So she did. A week later they send her a 'refurbished' watch with no band. So we contact customer service.  They apologize again and said, " We'll send a new band".  That was 10 days ago.  Still no band!  It's now February. Is she supposed to duct tape the refurbished watch to her wrist? Should probably change the name to Customer Disservice.   Absolutely ridiculous.
