After all the various attempts that have been made by me, (and others here), on the phone with technical support, I have to say, respectfully, that this answer is particularly insulting. You and I and everyone else on this thread know that the information that you have posted here will not resolve this issue or the many other issues that we are all experiencing. And as a result I think I can speak for all of us when I say that we feel like we are being misled by you and Google. I mean no disrespect but you've just got to do better. It's just that simple. I don't think it is unreasonable for us to expect as much. Google didn't give these devices to us for free. We actually gave you money with the expectation that they would operate as advertised. We were misled at the point of purchase and we are continuing to be misled by technical support and here in this forum. As I said, you've just got to do better.

They NEED to pause device sales until all of these issues are resolved!! MORE AND MORE PEOPLE WITH BRAND NEW DEVICES SHOW UP HERE DAILY!!.........
And NOBODY has ANY answers. I've basically been told "my device is not going to be working properly anytime soon"
FYI...

Semae problem with my wife's brand new Versa 4 and redmi note 11 pro.
Please Fitbit/google try to resolve this issue as soon as possible cause this feature is one of the reasons why I chose this device, if it don't work in a month I will be forced to return it back to amazon.
Thankas and regards.

For the past month I have had trouble with voice replies with Versa 3 device and Galaxy S22. Finally after weeks of troubleshooting, I found the problem. Do NOT sync your Google account to Fitbit. If You are logged into Fitbit via Google, logout and login on the fitbit app with your usual login. When prompted for Google login, dismiss it. I hope this helps anyone else flustered by this issue.

Well what are we going to do though because we are going to be forced to switch to Google regardless. I can't remember the exact date but I think it's next summer 2024. I have the same problem I have a s20 plus, and a versa 2 and mine quit working as soon as I switched it to Google. I read one blog that said if you switched it that you can't go back, however, I have two accounts on my phone a Google and a Yahoo account so I can work around it but there needs to be a fix to this problem is this in our Google settings something not allowing it, maybe a permission that we need to change? Gosh what a mess right.

Hi everyone. Thank you for your messages and your reports.
If you haven't done so, please update the Fitbit app to the current version (3.87) .
This should solve the situation with the transcription error.
If so, I would really appreciate it if you could confirm this here.

@Gimmemoores1 , Thank you for your reply!
If you are using an Android device, go to the Play store, search for Fitbit and there should be an option to update the App.
The same if you are using iOS, in that case you'll need to go to the App Store.

Wow it works? Because if it really works, even though we spit blood anyway, we really have to congratulate the Fitbit team because they have shown that they actually listen to customers and that there is excellent after-sales technical support, which is absolutely not to be underestimated, all 'other. But before I really congratulate Fitbit, I want to see if it actually works.

For me, the mobile software updated flawlessly. However, the tracker software repeatedly failed and continues to do so. More importantly, customer support, (including a supervisor), readily admitted to me that the software is not yet available to my device because it is not ready and there is no timetable or at this point any expectation that it will be ready... Full stop. Nothing further end of the conversation. That is the treatment that I got. I expected better.
----
Wonderful news! How did you actually get the tracker software to update? I am excited to know that your device now works and very interested in getting mine to do the same. Congratulations!

What number did you dial? I got the exact opposite and continue to do so after multiple attempts. I am excited to hear that you were able to get through to someone in customer support who actually was able to help you and I am very much looking forward to the same kind of experience. Please update and thank you in advance.

I didn't call a number. Customer support line just says whatever to get you off the phone. They know absolutely nothing, but won't admit it.
I followed the advice of a moderator in this thread. He said:
Thank you for your reply!
If you are using an Android device, go to the Play store, search for Fitbit and there should be an option to update the App.
The same if you are using iOS, in that case you'll need to go to the App Store.
The other option is to delete the app and download it again. You should receive the latest version available
