Versa 4 battery draining quickly

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Versa 4 has worked well since I started using it in October 2023, with the battery lasting at least 5 days or more . I use only the basic features and was pretty happy with it.

This week I noticed on wake up, the device was dead, so I charged during the day. However with a full charge, using the official battery, it will only last a few hours at most 😭

I have checked in app but there are no pending updates.

Basically it's useless now. It has not gotten wet or had any damage.

Any tips?

Tx

Update: did a factory reset which included a device update. It seems more responsive now but the battery drained from 100%  to 82% in 5 mins.

How can the battery go from 5 days plus to a couple of hours?

Is there any recommended support contact methods or Fitbit?

This started on both mine and my husband's Versa 4 this week. Definitely has to be something software related, as our Versas were purchased at least a year apart.

Thanks for your reply.

I contacted Fitbit and they are sending me a new device, which is great. Hopefully it will work correctly with no issues..

I did read online that due to some devices overheating and burning the users wrist, they adjusted the battery to not get so hot. But it seems to have inadvertently made the battery pretty useless 😭

This is happening to my versa 4.

Done a factory reset, turned off GPS (wasn't on anyway) turned off other bits. Left on charge over night, was 100% & now at 70, when all I've done is work at my desk.

Mine & my husband's watches both started doing this exact thing - one week ago.

Google did something to cause it, as we have changed nothing on our devices.

Mine was doing this and then I updated it two days ago and now it doesn't work at all unless it's on charge. Massive issues with latest software update of which they're accepting no responsibility and advising me to buy a new fitbit. Awful service
