Versa 4 charging issues

My Versa 4 has been fine until today. I put it on my charging block to charge but when I went back the battery had been draining instead of charging. So I moved it to a powered plug. When I returned, the display said your Versa 4 is too hot to charge properly. Cool it before continuing to charge. I removed the watch from the charger and it was at 99% so I thought ok. But it rapidly discharged within an hour. It had cooled so I placed it on charge again but, shortly after the display came up with the same message. The watch felt v warm. I charged the watch last week using the same power plug with no issues. It has cooled again but the battery is fully drained again. Should I try resetting it or has something gone wrong with the device. I've only had it a few months.

Hi @Vergann - your watch has internal damage, it should no longer be charged if it gets hot as it is dangerous, and if it is under warranty get it replaced.

Thanks. I thought that might be the case. It should still be under warranty. Bought it direct so I'll find the order receipt and contact them.

Hi Guy

Contacted Fitbit today and they will replace. Just need to post it to them
once I'm home from my holiday. Mailing label provided. They were very
helpful and easy to deal with.
