Got home and synced and looked at walk stats and no map was there and pretty much no other info. It was less than a mile walk but aren't you supposed to be able to use Versa 4 without bringing the phone?

@scd5280 Did your Versa 4 show that your GPS connected before you started? Do you live in an area where the GPS might have disconnected (tall buildings, dense trees)?

Hi there, @scd5280. Thanks for stopping by in the Fitbit Community Forums and sharing the details provided in your post about the inconvenience with your Versa 4.
As @LZeeW has mentioned, please bear in mind that if the GPS signal is lost during the exercise, a map might not appear in the Fitbit app. If you're having issues with the GPS connection, see Why isn't GPS working on my Fitbit device?
Was my post helpful? Give it a thumbs up to show your appreciation! Of course, if this was the answer you were looking for, don't forget to make it the Best Answer! Als...

I also have a new Versa 4 and had to figure this out. There is a setting for exercises in which you cover distance (run, walk, probably others) for whether or not you want GPS on. But I found it tricky to set without the exercise starting while I was trying to access its settings. You access the settings by scrolling down after selecting the exercise. Easiest (at least for me -- maybe just luck?) is instead of tapping Run or Walk from the shortucut, tap All, and select Run or walk from there (or else single-press the side button to get the app list, select exercise for the full list). It is still tricky to scroll down to settings without starting the exercise (at least on my watch) but I was able to turn on the GPS setting as well as check out the other nice settings for these exercises. It's too bad that the exercise starts so easily without letting you access the settings.

Did it. After selecting walk able scroll down to turn on GPS. I need to study the manual more. Found on page 50.
Thanks!
