Versa 4 displayed language choice

Hi!  I have contacted customer service about this issue and was offered a discount for a new device.  I was a little disappointed. 

It stopped showing the "rainbow" arch on the screen so I restarted it, that was on Sunday.  I restarted it and now it just asks for my choice of English, deutsch, etc.  When I choose English, then it goes to download the app, blah, blah, blah.  I have done all that and it won't connect to my Bluetooth.  Then when I restart I get the fitbit logo flashing with a bluebox around it and then a red X.  I'm frustrated as this is only 16months since I purchased it.  I'm wondering if fitbit had an update and my watch isn't new enough to handle it.

Any thoughts?
