Versa 4 distance

My fitbit versa 4 shows different distances on the watch. The "home" screen showed 7.94 miles, but within the "steps" screen it was showing 5.91. 

Both were next to the distance icon. I'm confused as to what distance is accurate and why two different distances are showing.
