I've had my Versa4 for about 6 weeks & it has never tracked floors & I live in a 2 story house. I have restarted & resynced it many times for different reasons but it does not track my floors.

@st3ff13- there's a 1 or 2 year warranty depending on country and yes a landing can confuse the floor count which expects a significant elevation change in a select number of steps/time, also dominant wrist can be a factor, as it filters more steps before accepting them as steps.

Hi @st3ff13 - it may have a fault but it has to count steps when going upstairs so if you hold the hand rail it may not count sufficient steps if it is on that arm.
You can always try swinging your arm freely or wear it on the other arm to see if it works better, also continue walking normally after reaching the top helps.
If faulty it can be replaced under warranty but note the floor count is only informative and doesn't affect other measurements so can equally be ignored if the watch is working well otherwise as you won't necessarily get a new watch if replaced by Fitbit direct.
