After the recent firmware update failed, my Fitbit is now all but dead. After charging, I am unable to reset & when it does it is in a loop and finally I get a big Red Cross on the screen. I am unable to pair the device via Bluetooth. I have been offered a discount in the Google store for a new watch but am reluctant to spend extra money when I can buy a generic smartwatch online for a fraction of the cost.

I have had no assistance from the Support Team except for the discount code. I do not want to buy a replacement watch as I can buy a generic replacement for a fraction of the cost. There was an online announcement that the Firmware update fault had been fixed but this doesn’t actually appear to be the case.
