Versa 4 is always shutting down randomly

My Fitbit Versa 4 will shut down randomly and not power back on unless connected to the charger. Once connected to the charger, it will power on and the battery status will indicate it's got plenty of charge (often 90% or better). This started about a month ago and is getting more and more frequent. I have started having to carry my charger around with me.  I have tried factory resets several times and there is no difference. Because of this problem, my steps and sleep trackings have not been accurate.  I love my Fitbit but I have found that I'm spending most of my time now cussing it. Help!

I’ve had this same problem which I reported yesterday but unfortunately Fitbit support are refusing to acknowledge any responsibility and are claiming the other 10 people I can see affected by the same issues is a coincidence. If you manage to resolve it please let me know.
